Charlie Heat ahead of the September 19th, release date for his “debut album,” “FIREWORKS” hosted a listening party at the Reserve Lounge in Philly on Friday, September 14th. Heat has been producing beats for years, with legends like D.R.A.M. Kanye, and most recently Ant Beale.
This however, will be his first official release, compiling tracks he’s put out over the last couple of months with various artists and additional unreleased songs. Heat signed to Very G.O.O.D Beats in 2015 and the following year, produced a good chunk of Kanye’s “Life of Pablo,” including “Waves” and “Facts,” two of the strongest tracks on the project.
On this debut album, Heat, now a veteran of the scene is out to establish himself as not just a producer but a multifaceted artist that can stand on his own. Heat showed up in a sweater, spray painted with the title of the album and the release date, 9/19. Charlie smoked a cigar for most of the night, hanging out behind the DJ booth and vibing with the crowd, many of whom are longtime friends and collaborators. The party was an intimate celebration of an important stage in Heat’s journey.
Fireworks is the kind of project that has a bit of everything, radio friendly club bangers, emotional ballads, great production, and killer features. Tommy Genesis shows up on the tracklist, Mike Zombie, Syd, and a number of other rappers, artists, and singers. This is the project that will launch Charlie Heat into the night, further cementing his legacy as one of the best producers of the last decade.
